A Complete Makeover: Official Images of the All-New Ford Taurus Released

Ford has recently unveiled a set of official images for its refreshed Taurus model. As a mid-cycle update, the new Taurus undergoes significant exterior changes, shifting away from its traditionally mature and conservative style to embrace a more youthful and fashionable aesthetic. The vehicle is expected to hit the market this September.
Exterior Transformation
The new Ford Taurus features a dramatically redesigned front fascia that retains the brand’s family identity while incorporating modern refinements. The updated “open-eye” headlights seamlessly integrate with the grille, creating a wider and more imposing front view. The grille itself is now filled with horizontal chrome accents, adding a touch of sophistication. Additionally, the lower front bumper adopts a continuous design that enhances the overall cohesiveness of the front end.
Advanced Lighting Technology
One of the standout features is the advanced lighting system. The “open-eye” headlights consist of 22 individual LED units, integrating daytime running lights and position lights. When signaling a turn, these lights activate in a sequential, flowing pattern, delivering a futuristic and visually striking effect.
Dynamic Profile and Rear Design
The side profile of the new Taurus adopts a forward-leaning character line, giving the car an athletic and poised stance. A sleek silver chrome strip runs along the doors, further accentuating its premium appeal. At the rear, the taillights have been redesigned to appear longer and more distinctive, especially when illuminated.
Dimensions and Exclusive Vignale Trim
The new model features a redesigned trapezoidal license plate recess and continues with dual exhaust outlets. With dimensions of 5018/1884/1506 mm, it is slightly larger than its predecessor, while the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2949 mm.
A major highlight of this update is the introduction of the Vignale luxury edition. This variant offers an elevated ownership experience with exclusive exterior elements such as a black matte electroplated grille with a water-ripple pattern, bespoke badging, a black roof, and unique 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior is also expected to feature superior materials and craftsmanship.
Performance and Powertrain
Under the hood, the new Taurus is anticipated to retain its 2.0L turbocharged engine, producing 245 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. Compliant with the latest China VI emission standards, it will likely be paired with Fordβs new 8-speed automatic transmission.
Set for a September release, the new Ford Taurus combines sophisticated design, advanced technology, and refined performance, making it a compelling choice in its segment.
