Why I Chose the Ford Taurus
After months of research and comparison, I finally decided to invest in the Ford Taurus. While many praised its value for money, my decision wasn’t just about stacking features. I initially considered the new Magotan, but limited availability pushed me toward the Taurus instead—and I haven’t looked back since.
Sometimes, you just know when a car is right for you. The Taurus caught my eye, and once it did, no other model could compare. Four months in, I’m still delighted with my choice.

Design & Comfort
The Taurus’s design is bold and elegant—it holds its own even next to luxury sedans. While younger drivers might find its aesthetic a bit conservative, I appreciate its mature presence.
Inside, the cabin is trimmed in premium leather, though I do wish my mid-tier model included daytime running lights. The wheels are a particular standout—substantial and stylish, contributing to the car’s poised demeanor.
One downside? The new-car smell was overwhelming at first—almost nauseating during longer drives. Thankfully, it’s begun to fade.
Spacious & Family-Friendly
As a family of four, space was a top priority. At 173 cm, I find the cabin exceptionally roomy, with plenty of headroom and legroom. Storage compartments are adequate, though not exceptional. The trunk, however, is massive—perfect for family road trips.
Ride & Handling
The seats are plush and supportive, making even long journeys comfortable. The Taurus feels planted and stable, thanks to its well-tuned suspension and robust chassis. It handles bumps with ease, though sharper impacts are still noticeable.
Performance & Efficiency
The 2.0L turbocharged engine delivers 245 horsepower—ample power for daily driving and the occasional burst of acceleration. I rarely use Sport mode; a firm press on the throttle is all it takes to surge forward.
Despite its size, the Taurus is surprisingly agile. Steering is precise, and driver-assist features are both practical and intuitive. The 8-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly and responsively.
Fuel economy is respectable for a car of this size: 9.2 L/100km in the city and 7.5 L/100km on the highway.
Final Thoughts
The Ford Taurus is a solid choice for anyone seeking to elevate their daily drive without breaking the bank. It offers refinement, space, and performance in a appealing package.
That said, no car is perfect. The tires—Continental brand—are expensive and less durable than I’d like. A minor scrape resulted in noticeable damage, which was frustrating.
